Plain-English definitions for the terminology used across ការវិភាគក្រុម.
- Accumulator
- A single bet that links two or more selections; all must win for the bet to pay out, multiplying the odds.
- Asian Handicap
- A handicap given to teams in a match, expressed in whole or half goals, to level the playing field and eliminate draws.
- Bankroll
- The total amount of money set aside for placing bets; managing it helps avoid big losses.
- Bet Builder
- An online feature that lets you combine multiple outcomes from the same event into a single wager.
- Cash Out
- A feature that lets you settle a bet before the event ends, locking in a profit or limiting a loss.
- Double Chance
- A bet that covers two of the three possible outcomes in a match (win, draw, or lose) in one wager.
- Each-Way
- A two-part bet where you back a team to win and also place a smaller stake on them placing (usually top 2 or 3).
- Fixed Odds
- The odds set by the bookmaker at the time of the bet; they do not change after you place the bet.
- In-Play Betting
- Placing bets on a match while it is ongoing, with odds that update as the game progresses.
- Juice
- The commission or fee that a sportsbook charges on a bet, usually built into the odds.
- KYC
- Know Your Customer; the process of verifying a player's identity to prevent fraud, money laundering, and underage gambling.
- Lay Bet
- A bet that a particular outcome will NOT happen; used in betting exchanges where you act as the bookmaker.
- Odds Format
- The way odds are presented—fractional (e.g., 5/1), decimal (e.g., 6.00), or moneyline (e.g., +500).
- Over/Under
- A bet on whether the total number of points, goals, or other metrics in a match will be over or under a set line.
- Parlay
- Another term for an accumulator; a single bet that combines multiple selections, all of which must win.
- Point Spread
- The margin of points that a favored team must win by for a bet on them to pay out.
- Price Boost
- A special offer where a bookmaker increases the odds on a specific selection.
- Push
- A tie result in a bet where the stakes are refunded because the outcome matched the line exactly.
- Round Robin
- A series of small parlays created from a list of selections, covering all possible combinations.
- RTP
- Short for Return to Player; the percentage of total bets that a game returns to players over time.
- Stake
- The amount of money you place on a bet.
- Underdog
- The team or player expected to lose; a bet on them pays out at higher odds if they win.
- Value Bet
- A bet where the odds offered are higher than the true probability of the outcome, giving an edge.
- Void
- A bet that is cancelled and the stake is returned, usually due to a match being postponed or a rule breach.
- Wagering Requirement
- The number of times you must bet a bonus amount before you can withdraw any winnings from it.
